A healthy board is green and completely still - nothing moves, nothing asks for you. A dying pack turns amber, then red, glows and pulses until someone deals with it. The design goal is that nobody ever studies this screen; they just notice when it changes.
The receivers get polled every few seconds and the numbers come from the hardware, not a guess - battery, runtime remaining, RF, mute. The faces come from Planning Center, so the board knows who is holding which mic this week without anyone typing a name.
And it re-skins itself off the sermon series - the board pulls a palette from the current series artwork, so the room's own screens look intentional and fresh every few weeks, without anybody designing anything.
